Yahoo Displayed as 'anshikapackersmovers' in Alexa: I visited Alexa a few minutes ago and checked out its "Top Sites" section. The number one ranked site is still Google, second is Facebook, third is YouTube, and the fourth-ranked website is named anshikapackersmovers. Anshika.. what? So I checked the description and it reads:
"About anshikapackersmovers (yahoo.com): providing you the best possible solutions for all kind of relocation such as home relocation, car carrier service, office or corporate relocation mumbai providing you the best possible solutions for all kind of relocation such as home relocation, car carrier service, office or corporate relocation."
Here are some screenshots that I took:

As you can see from the screenshots above, the next paragraph describes the real number 4 site -Yahoo. The link still points to yahoo.com but the name of the site and the description has been edited.
Now who is at fault here? It could be from Alexa's side, or probably from a sacked Yahoo employee who happens to know the Alexa username and password of Yahoo.
Whatever is the reason for this mistake, it goes to show how unlucky Yahoo really is right now.
I just came by that too!
ReplyDeleteI get the same result via ALEXA!
